WHO WE ARE
Altevie is an engineering company founded in 2007 from the collaboration between the professional practices of several engineers, including founding partners Marco Cordeschi (L'Aquila) and Marco Rinaldi (Macerata), with a clear vocation for the engineering activities aimed at building high-altitude structures.

Extreme Mountain Engineering
Altevie's decades of experience in the mountain environment have over the years led it to intervene in extreme situations resulting from the combination of extreme weather conditions in morphologically complex environments. The short deadlines for the delivery of works, the need to maximise the effectiveness of interventions with special means while maintaining adequate safety levels, have led Altevie to refine and optimise the actions in our projects or construction sites. The experience gained in works in National Parks and other protected areas, in compliance with strict regulations and directives, in the constant quest to reduce the environmental impacts and incidences of works and construction sites, has allowed us to build significant know-how in this specific sector. The installation of active and passive avalanche defence interventions on steep slopes, the installation of prefabricated elements and cableway supports with helicopters or cableways, are just some examples of the works in which the Altevie staff is constantly engaged. The harsh winters of the Apennines and the the Alps, the need for maintenance work often at 20 degrees below zero with wind speeds in excess of 200 km/h, the transversal engineering and mountaineering skills of some members of the Altevie staff, have led to the selection appropriate methods, materials, equipment and apparatus; from this experience EXTREME MOUNTAIN ENGINEERING was born.

MOBILITY
Mobility and Operating Direction
The experience gained on ropeways in relation to the activities of design and construction management and operation management and consulting, has led Altevie to develop a new internal working group, coordinated by Ing. in-house, coordinated by Engineer Marco Rinaldi, dedicated to cableway mobility in urban and the technical management of installations of all each category in service under both public and private management. Altevie thus developed the first major urban ropeway projects and prepared several feasibility studies for project finance operations. At the same time, it is expanding the number of in-house professionals qualified to operational management functions for which the company is already involved in 4 Italian regions and in the Republic of San Marino.
CIVIL ENGINEERING
Civil Engineering Architecture
After the 2009 earthquake that destroyed even our original headquarters, Altevie has been engaged in numerous post-earthquake reconstruction projects, benefiting from the experience previously gained in interdisciplinary fields that often required specific geotechnical and structural expertise. The working group dedicated to this sector, coordinated by arch. Antonietta Cellini in charge of the Project Office, designed and directed reconstruction, adaptation and seismic improvement works on masonry building aggregates, condominium buildings with complex framed structures, individual buildings with structures in wood, steel, masonry or concrete. Unfortunately, in 2016 the same fate befell the territory where our our second operating unit, in the municipality of Ussita; we have thus made the experience gained in L'Aquila available to that territory, engaging in numerous reconstruction projects, some of which are already underway.
